Welcome to Poplar Point Resort, Red Lake, Ontario, Canada
Here at Poplar Point Resort, we strive to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. Whether it is a family, "the guys" or "the gals" trip, it will be a trip you will never forget. It is our mission to provide you with the best possible service and make you feel like part of our extended Poplar Point family.
We are located 7 miles south of the Town of Red Lake, just an 1/8 of a mile off of Highway 105. Our resort is set on a secluded swollen bay of the Bug River, just a couple of minutes by boat to famous Gullrock Lake. Fishing begins right off the docks and leads you to five great lakes of fishing all accessible by water: Gullrock, Keg, Two Island, Ranger and Red Lake.
You will catch Walleye, Sauger, Perch, Northern Pike, Whitefish and Trout in sizes that run from pan size to trophy.
We have 9 light housekeeping cabins, 6 serviced campsites, tent areas, boat and motor rentals, docking facilities, fuel, licenses, live bait, small store, ice, and freezer service.
Most of our guests drive to camp, but if you wish to fly we will arrange transportation to and from the airport.
From our Guest Book
There are many reasons I will be returning to Poplar Point in the near future. Things such as the excitement of pulling a twenty-five inch walleye out of beautiful Gull Rock Lake, or the tranquillity of sitting on the dock and watching the Northern Lights dance across the pitch darkness of the Canadian skies. But, in reality, the thing I like the most is the feeling that I'm part of the whole family of campers and sportsmen that Grant, Bev, and Jamie welcome each summer when the ice goes out and the "skeeters" come in.

Our group (which ranges from 3 to 30) has been coming to Poplar Point since the summer of 1993 and wouldn't consider going any place else. The relaxing atmosphere and quality of service provided by our hosts, the Kristoff's, has been a major part of our years of enjoyment. In addition to the quality of service, we're serious about the quality of fishing too, and in recent years this has been nothing short of outstanding.
Conservation efforts has made a serious impact on the quality and quantity of fish that we have caught over the past few years and hopefully will continue to do so in the future. I won't tell you our favorite spots, but when we go, we go Gullrock!
