Poplar Point offers you more than just great fishing! We are located on a very private and scenic section of the Bug River, in the Gull Rock Gull chain of lakes. There is ample room for your outdoor fun. Give tubing or water skiing a whirl. Peddle lazily along in a paddle boat. Relax, unwind and revel in the beauty of Northwestern Ontario. Perhaps you would like to try your hand at our horseshoe pits.
 
For the dedicated beachbums among us there are numerous beaches on Gullrock Lake. If you are looking for some variety then you can venture out and explore one of our local beaches. The towns of Red Lake and Cochenour have surpervised beaches for you to visit.

27 inch Walleye Our resort is located just 7 miles away from the town of Red Lake, Ontario. This gives our visitors easy access to all the modern conveniences like shopping, restaurants, and a hospital. Red Lake was the location of a goldrush way back in 1926. There are still operational gold mines in the area.

Keep Fit on Your Vacation

Work a few of those delicious shore lunches off. For sports buffs, there are tennis courts, basketball courts, and ball fields located just a 20 minute drive away from our resort. We also boast the Northern-most 18 hole golf course in Ontario. All our guests who have an interest or a passion for golfing are provided with complimentary green fees. You may choose to bring your own clubs along. For those who like to travel light, clubs are available for rent at the golf course.
